Foods involved in disease outbreaks in Germany in 2011
BfR recommendations for protection against Yersinia - Yersinia are rod-shaped bacteria that can cause gastrointestinal infections. In 2011, around 3,400 infections with Yersinia were reported in Germany. The bacteria can also multiply at refrigeration temperatures up to 4 °C. The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has published consumer information on protection against these germs.
