Hygiene regulations for minced meat and meat preparations
Largest food poisoning to date in Germany - According to the Robert Koch Institute, the recent gastrointestinal illnesses represent the largest outbreak of food-induced illness ever recorded in Germany. At least 11,200 people have been affected by the vomiting and diarrhea that is rampant in eastern Germany. According to current findings, a batch of frozen strawberries might be the cause of the poisoning in children and adolescents. Experts believe that the illness was triggered by school and daycare meals. Noroviruses have now been detected in a large number of patients. However, according to authorities, other pathogens or bacterial toxins cannot yet be completely ruled out as the cause.
