Notification and Transmission Ordinance on Unwanted Health Substances (MitÜbermitV) (BAV-Info No. 01/2012)
As a consequence of the dioxin scandal in 2011, a dioxin early warning system for feed and food was established. Food and feed business operators are obliged to report the test results available to them regarding levels of undesirable substances in food or feed to the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL). The Reporting and Transmission Ordinance on Health-Related Undesirable Substances (MitÜbermitV) comes into effect on May 1, 2012.
