Öko-Test examines conditioners
A total of 30 conditioners from renowned manufacturers are examined more closely in the current February issue of the magazine Öko-Test.
More than half of the products received a very good or good rating, and all other products received at most a satisfactory rating (five products only achieved inadequate).
The main reasons for downgrading by one or more grades include:
- Silicones
- Critical fragrance components such as Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial) or Hydroxycitronellal
- Synthetic musk compounds
- Chloromethylisothiazolinone (CIT) and Chlorhexidine Gluconate as preservatives
- Formaldehyde-releasing agents, e.g., Diazolidinyl Urea
Have all these compounds and substance classes regularly tested to ensure the high quality of your products.
In addition to microbiological examinations by the BAV Institut (ISO 17516), we conduct all the analyses listed above in cooperation with our international Tentamus group of companies. Whether residues and contaminants or the determination of the content of individual substances, we thoroughly test your product according to the regulations of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.
