EDI Ordinance on Cosmetic Products – KBT according to ISO 11930

For quite some time now, the Ordinance of the FDHA on Cosmetic Products has been directly valid in Switzerland. It regulates the requirements regarding documentation and necessary tests for the marketing of cosmetics.

Essential here is the proof of microbiological and chemical-physical stability and durability of a product. The following tests are necessary:

-       Preservative Efficacy Test (KBT)

-       Stability Tests with storage of products at different temperatures

The KBT is usually carried out according to the specifications of ISO 11930, and the ISO/TR 188811 also plays an important role in chemical-physical stability.
