Ordinance of the FDHA on cosmetic products

From May 1, 2021, all cosmetics placed on the market in Switzerland must fully comply with the requirements of the Swiss Cosmetics Ordinance (Ordinance of the FOPH on Cosmetic Products).

The regulations are identical to EU regulations, except for a few exceptions - e.g., the notification requirement via the CPNP portal. Among other things, the following are required:

 

 

Products that are handcrafted and sold locally (e.g., at school fairs, markets, etc.) are partially exempt from the above-mentioned requirements.

The BAV Institute in cooperation with the international Tentamus Laboratory Group and the Swiss company Tentamus Helvetia supports you with all questions regarding regulations and marketing of cosmetic products. We conduct the preservative efficacy test quickly and reliably for you and, if necessary, other tests (e.g., chemical analyses).
