PCBs in feed
Feed contaminated with PCBs in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony was found on several farms, but also with three pig farmers.
The causes of PCB contamination were probably paint chippings in two loading cells; several hundred tons of contaminated feed have circulated.
According to the authorities, the products pose no health risk, but affected poultry and eggs have been withdrawn as a precautionary measure.
In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct testing for PCBs. We provide fast and reliable results.
