Pluralibacter gergoviae in cosmetic products

Contamination of externally applied cosmetics with  P. gergoviae can pose a health risk to consumers, as these bacteria can enter the body through open wounds or mucous membranes. Particularly in individuals with weakened health, severe infections are possible. Currently, there is no information available on infections caused by contaminated cosmetics.
