Recently, a food product (Ajwain) was recalled due to pesticide exceeding limits.

The legal limits (maximum residue levels) for pesticides in food are regulated EU-wide in Regulation (EC) No. 396/2005. Foods containing prohibited pesticides or pesticides above the limits are not marketable in the EU.
