Proposal of the European Commission on Whistleblowing

The European Commission has drafted a Directive on the protection of whistleblowers in the EU.
This directive aims to establish safe channels for reporting misconduct within an organization as well as to authorities.
The proposal intends to provide EU-wide protection when reporting breaches of EU law, including in the areas of food and feed safety, animal health, and welfare.
