Two new scientific publications can now be found on the homepage of the German Society for Scientific and Applied Cosmetics e.V. (DGK). Published on the topic of microbiology of cosmetics:
- Basic requirements for microbiological examinations
- Quality management and technical requirements in microbiological laboratories
Both publications were released by Working Group 2 (Microbiology & Operational Hygiene) of the DKG. This working group is led by Ms. Nussbaum from the BAV Institute.
The basic requirements elaborate on the following points, among others:
- Microbiological safety of cosmetic products according to Regulation (EC) 1223/2009
- Low-risk products (DIN EN ISO 29621)
- Type and scope of microbiological examinations according to DIN EN ISO 17516
The document on technical requirements comprehensively explains the regulations for operating a testing laboratory according to DIN EN ISO 17025.
