Recall of Instant Noodle Dish – Salmonella
The State Investigation Office Saxony has detected salmonella (Salmonella Stanley) in an instant noodle dish. As a result, the product was recalled. The product was sold in 11 federal states in Germany.
A salmonella infection (salmonellosis) can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Infants, young children, elderly people, and individuals with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
Salmonella are rod-shaped bacteria and grow within a temperature range of 10 – 47°C. Freezing does not reliably kill salmonella; only sufficient heating above 70°C for at least 10 minutes can eliminate the germs.
At BAV Institute, we regularly conduct microbiological tests, including for salmonella. We provide you with fast and reliable results.
