Recalls in the Safety Gate Portal Cosmetics - July 2024

The rapid alert system EU Safety Gate informs about potentially harmful cosmetics that do not comply with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.

In the month of July, a total of 134 products were classified as "serious risk."

Reasons for this were:

• Prohibited fragrance Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial / BMHCA)
• Microbial contamination with Burkholderia cepacia
• Increased total microbial count and yeasts & molds, non-compliance with ISO 17516

In Safety Gate, filters can be applied by product type, publication date, and type of recall (microbiological/chemical).
