Recalls in the Safety Gate Portal Cosmetics - September 2024

The rapid alert system Safety Gate of the EU provides information on potentially harmful cosmetics that do not comply with regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.

In September, a total of 44 products were classified as "serious risk." 

Reasons for this were:

• Prohibited fragrance Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial / BMHCA)
• Undeclared allergenic fragrances (e.g., Linalool, etc.)
• Detection of prohibited substances (e.g., Dioxane, Hydroquinone)
• Exceeding maximum concentrations of various substances (Salicylic Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide)

In the Safety Gate, you can filter by type of product, date of publication, and type of recall (microbiological/chemical).
