Regulation on Notification Obligations Published - In BAV Newsletter 01/2012

The Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 The Notification and Transmission Regulation on undesirable substances harmful to health (MitÜbermitV) was published in the Federal Law Gazette on January 10, 2011. The notification obligations for food and feed business operators initially apply to dioxins and dioxin-like substances. Notification must occur within 14 days after the result is determined. The regulation comes into effect on May 1, 2012.
