Saarland publishes first resolutions of the Consumer Protection Ministers' Conference (VSMK)
Saarland publishes the first resolutions of the Consumer Protection Ministers' Conference (VSMK) from June 13-15, 2018 at www.saarland.de such as:
Nutritional labeling of food products
VSMK calls on the federal government to promptly develop a nutritional labeling system for processed foods in the form of a nutritional traffic light. This should include a simplified, color-coded visualization of the values for sugar, fats, and salt (possibly also as an overall consideration). The federal government should advocate for the introduction of a nutritional labeling system combined with traffic light colors as a mandatory labeling element at the EU level.
All resolutions of the 14th Consumer Protection Ministers Conference will be published in a joint protocol on the VSMK homepage after approval by the federal states. We will keep you informed.
Our customer advisors are happy to assist you with any questions.
