Safety & Stability of Cosmetics - Successful Seminar at BAV Institute on November 20

Stability, Safety & Standards - Is my cosmetic product on the right path? That was the topic of the seminar to which the BAV Institute invited more than 40 participants on November 20. Ms. Viviane Handler-Kunze from HaKu Regulatory Expert, a consulting company from Vienna, gave a presentation on the requirements and practical implementation of stability tests.

Dr. Wilfried Petersen from Evonik Dr. Straetmans GmbH highlighted the topics of preservation and its impact on the safety and stability of a product. The requirements of cosmetic GMP (cGMP) as well as IFS HPC were topics covered by Ms. Klaudia Brysch and Mr. Michael Pfeiffer from Pfeiffer Consulting GmbH.

Last but not least, the topic of microbiological stability and its verification through the preservative efficacy test (PET), required by Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, was discussed by Dr. Bernhard Fellenberg from the BAV Institute.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants for attending and their interest in these topics and the services of the BAV Institute, and many thanks to the speakers for the very interesting presentations.

See you soon at one of the next seminars at the BAV Institute!
