Safety report for cosmetic products – Course in the Medicinal Plant Atelier in Pfyn (CH)

With the participation of Dr. Bernhard Fellenberg from the BAV Institute, a full-day advanced training course on the topic of safety reports for cosmetics took place for the first time in Pfyn, Switzerland, under the direction of the Medicinal Plant Atelier.

The course primarily focused on the requirements and documentation obligations for self-made cosmetic products, both according to the regulations of the EU (Regulation) 1223/2009 and the EDI/VKOS ordinance.

Microbiological requirements, the specifications of DIN EN ISO 17516, and the implementation of preservative efficacy testing in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11930 were central topics. Furthermore, regulations for the safety report and the notification of products were discussed.
