Salmonellosis or diseases caused by Salmonella in Switzerland

According to the report on the surveillance of zoonoses and foodborne disease outbreaks in Switzerland in 2017, there were 1,848 reported cases of salmonellosis in Switzerland in 2017.

It is the second most common bacterial foodborne infectious disease, as in Germany and the EU. Interestingly, as in Germany and the EU, there was an increase in salmonellosis in 2017 compared to the previous years.
