In a statement, Dr. Sieglinde Strähle from the Scientific Directorate of the Food Association explained: "Regardless of the question of how the spread of the coronavirus could occur, it is about the given food safety for the consumers. This is undoubtedly the case. Even if possibly unknowingly infected persons are employed in the companies in the short term or there is no risk of infection at all."
