Stiftung Warentest tests deodorants
```html
The magazine Stiftung Warentest tested 19 deodorants in the current issue (May 2021). Criteria mainly included the verification of claims and the application of products. Among other things, the following was tested:
- Sufficient protection against underarm odor
- User-friendliness of the packaging
- Environmentally critical substance Silicone D5
- Declaration and advertising claims
Of the 19 products tested, 6 received a good rating, 9 received a satisfactory rating, and the other products were no more than adequate.
The aluminum content was also examined, as this substance is under discussion regarding its safe use. No irregularities were observed here.
More recent assessments by the SCCS (EU committee for the assessment of substances according to Regulation (EC) 1223/2009) also show that adhering to the corresponding maximum levels of aluminum does not pose an increased risk.
