Successful Seminar on Preservative Efficacy Testing at BAV Institute

For the second time, the seminar "The Preservative Efficacy Test - an Update" took place at the premises of the BAV Institute in Offenburg.

Numerous questions and many discussions indicate that the topic of the preservative efficacy test plays a central role in the context of microbiological quality assurance in cosmetic companies. Conducting such a test is a clear requirement of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009!

In addition to the implementation and evaluation of efficacy tests, topics such as measurement uncertainties, the establishment of a microbiological quality management (MQM), and influences on the test in the context of development were discussed!

The BAV Institute regularly performs the preservative efficacy test (PET) for you. This is done according to the specifications of DIN EN ISO 11930 as well as the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur.).
