The BfR in Brief: Facts & Figures 2023 - Newly Released Publication

The BfR (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) in Berlin regularly compiles scientific opinions and assessments concerning material risks in the use of cosmetics and food, with more than 1000 employees.

All opinions of the BfR are available free of charge (www.bfr.bund.de). Currently, an overview of the BfR's activities in 2023 titled "Facts & Figures" has been published. 

In 2023 and up to now in 2024, opinions on cosmetics have been prepared on:

-       Study on aluminum-containing antiperspirants and possible health effects

-       MnHexP in urine samples: assessment of health risk

-       Cosmetic products: All ingredients must be checked
