Trade uses the new "Regional Window" - In BAV Newsletter 02/2014

Various retail chains, including EDEKA Südwest and the discount retailer Norma, have stated that they intend to increasingly use the new seal for regional origins. The "Regionalfenster" is a voluntary information field on products that includes statements about the origin of the ingredients used as well as the location of processing. The main ingredient or value-determining ingredients must come 100% from the specified region. Compliance with the information is monitored by approved certification bodies.
