Cosmetic products must be safe and harmless for consumers. This includes comprehensive testing for possible residues and contaminants, compliance with maximum levels for certain substances (e.g., preservatives), and proper labeling. All of this is regulated in Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.

The BAV Institute issues a so-called certificate of marketability (VFB) for your product, which is often required by retailers before listing. The BAV Institute conducts microbiological and chemical tests and also thoroughly checks the labeling of your product, in accordance with the requirements of the Claims Regulation (Regulation EU) 655/2013.
