Making the results of official controls in food monitoring transparent

The Senate Department of the State of Berlin has presented a draft law and ordinance to make the results of official inspections in food monitoring transparent. This aims to provide consumers with the ability to access the results of official operations inspections before entering an establishment. The results of the official operations inspections are to be evaluated based on a model and displayed in a transparency barometer. This transparency barometer is to be published by the food entrepreneur at the establishment and by the authorities on the internet. This is to come into effect on January 1, 2023.
