As reported by the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Freiburg, a total of 653 food products, 156 feedstuffs, and 5 bedding samples were tested for dioxins and PCBs in 2013. The main exposure of humans to these pollutants generally occurs through food, with food of animal origin being responsible for about 80% of it.
