Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. quantitatively in 6h and root cause analysis in case of contaminations!

Again and again, products are removed from the market due to listeria findings. Quick and reliable results are the foundation to detect potential contaminations at an early stage.

How can you detect a listeria contamination before your product is on the market?

With the newly developed rapid method "TentaSpeed L. mono", we can detect low germ counts of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. in food within just 6 hours. The detection is based on the RT-PCR technique, just like the 24h-method. The detection limit of the procedure is <20KbE/g.

What should you do in case of listeria contamination?

A major challenge with listeria findings is the cause analysis. Listeria can be introduced, for example, through raw materials or personnel and can settle permanently in operations. Through our strain comparison investigations using the MALDI-TOF method, contamination sources can be quickly and cost-effectively identified and eliminated.
This procedure is applicable not only to listeria but also to other pathogens like Salmonella, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, and more.

In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly carry out these investigations. We provide you with quick and reliable results.
