Analysis of fragrances in cosmetics within the Tentamus Group
Annex 3 of the Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 regulates those fragrances for cosmetics that must be declared on the ingredients list if they are present in concentrations of 10 ppm (leave-on products) or 100 ppm (rinse-off products) or more.
Furthermore, individual substances such as Lyral and Lilial are prohibited as fragrances for cosmetics (Annex 2). Due to natural variations, the contents of individual fragrances may vary.
Using state-of-the-art technology, the BAV Institute, in cooperation with the international Tentamus Laboratory Group, analyzes all declarable or prohibited fragrances for you quickly and reliably. This applies both to cosmetic end products and raw materials used.
In the context of market tests and assessments of marketability, results of fragrance analyses are always a must.
