A total of 38 cleansing milk products from well-known manufacturers were thoroughly examined in the current October edition of the Öko-Test magazine.

29 products received a very good rating, three products were rated good. Three products were rated insufficient.

The main reasons for the downgrading by one or more grades were:

-        Aromatic mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOAH)
-        PEG and PEG derivatives, paraffins and synthetic polymers
-        Questionable fragrances like Lilial (Butylphenyl Methylproprional)
-        Halogenated organic compounds
