Comparison of bacterial strains using MALDI-TOF
The BAV INSTITUTE offers the opportunity to compare bacterial strains with each other.
This allows conclusions to be drawn about the causes of contamination or positive findings. Sources of contamination can be found and eliminated more quickly as strains from end products can be compared with strains from raw materials or environmental studies. This comparison of strains is done using the MALDI-TOF method. These results are available on the same day after isolation of the strains, enabling quick statements about potential contamination causes and corresponding preventive measures.
This ability to compare strains of isolated microorganisms is possible through methods established at the BAV INSTITUTE for germs such as Salmonella, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus… and is also possible for others - contact our customer advisors for individual consultations.
