CVUA Stuttgart publishes test results on milk from coffee machines: Enterobacteriaceae, E. coli, and Pseudomonads regularly elevated
The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office (CVUA) Stuttgart has microbiologically examined milk samples from coffee machines over the last five years. The results have been published on the CVUA Stuttgart website.
A total of 218 milk samples from coffee machines from various service establishments such as bakeries, gas stations, and gastronomy establishments were collected. They were tested for various spoilage organisms and hygiene indicators (Enterobacteria, Escherichia coli, and pseudomonads) as well as pathogens (Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus, and Staphylococcus aureus).
83.9% of the samples were microbiologically satisfactory. 15.1% of the samples were criticized due to elevated levels of hygiene and spoilage organisms.
