Mono-n-hexyl phthalate (MnHexP) and Di-n-hexyl phthalate (DnHexP)
Recently, the phthalate mono-n-hexyl phthalate (MnHexP) was detected in children's urine samples through official controls.
Currently, the sources of entry of this substance are being discussed and a risk assessment is being conducted for consumers. The BfR has already published two communications on this matter.
One source from which MnHexP is formed is di-n-hexyl phthalate (DnHexP). DnHexP is included in the phthalate analysis spectrum of our institute. Furthermore, the determination of MnHexP is being worked on, and this substance is expected to be included in the phthalate spectrum from the end of March.
Our institute, as part of the Tentamus Laboratory Group, analyzes a large number of phthalate (plasticizers) compounds in cosmetics and raw materials for you. The analysis is performed using state-of-the-art LC-MS/MS technology with low determination limits.
Do you want to know if your products or raw materials are contaminated with phthalates? We look forward to your message.
