Öko-Test examines roll-on deodorants
A total of 52 deodorant rollers were examined in more detail in the current issue of the magazine Öko-Test. Almost half (25 products) were rated very good or good. However, some products were negatively noted due to their ingredients.
Which product properties and ingredients led to devaluation? Essentially, these were:
- Lilial, declared as Butylphenyl Methylpropional: the synthetic fragrance proved to be reproductive toxic in animal studies.
- Cashmeran: The musk-like fragrance accumulates in the body's adipose tissue.
- Hydroxycitronellal: This fragrance can trigger allergies.
- Isoeugenol: is a potent allergen.
- Formaldehyde/-releasers: Formaldehyde can, among other things, cause skin irritation.
- PEG compounds: They can make the skin more permeable to foreign substances.
The BAV Institute and its Tentamus laboratory partners conduct tests for you on all the parameters mentioned above using the latest methods.
We would be happy to create a testing program that fits your products.
