Ordinance of the EDI on Cosmetic Products

Since May 1, 2021, all cosmetics placed on the market in Switzerland must fully comply with the requirements of the Swiss Cosmetics Ordinance (Ordinance of the FOPH on cosmetic products).

With a few exceptions, the regulations are identical to the EU regulations (VO(EG) 1223/2009). Among other things, the requirements include:

-       Safety report or safety assessment, including associated stability tests

-       Product Information File (PIF)

-       Conducting a preservative efficacy test (PET), usually according to ISO 11930

-       Evidence of claimed effects

-       Compliance with Cosmetic GMP (cGMP)

The BAV Institute in cooperation with the international Tentamus Laboratory Group and the Swiss company Tentamus Helvetia supports you in all questions of regulation and marketing of cosmetic products. We conduct the preservative efficacy test quickly and reliably for you and, if necessary, other tests (e.g., stability tests, application tests, etc.).

Contact us, we look forward to hearing from you!
