Recall: Salmonella in chocolate Santa Claus
Due to the detection of salmonella, an official recall of chocolate products - this time milk chocolate Santa Clauses - has been initiated again.
Earlier this spring, a major food manufacturer had to recall various chocolate products because they could have been contaminated with salmonella. Another company also had to stop production due to contamination of its raw material.
The current findings show how important it is to regularly conduct environmental monitoring, raw material analysis, and end product analysis for salmonella.
