Swingtest as part of stability tests for cosmetics

Only stable cosmetics are safe cosmetics!

The BAV Institute conducts all necessary stability tests for cosmetics on behalf of your company, as required for the preparation of the safety report in accordance with Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.

For emulsions, their stability is crucial. We conduct so-called swing tests for you, in which a product is stored, for example, alternating daily between two temperatures, 40°C and 4°C, for a month and then evaluated. It is examined to what extent phase separation of the two phases (water and oil) occurs.

Storage at constant temperatures and a corresponding testing program with tests of parameters such as microbiological quality and physico-chemical properties like pH value, density, and viscosity complete the stability test.
