Takeaway of food in the hospitality industry during lockdown
In a recent press release by the German Food Association e.V., the topic of takeaway food in customer-owned containers is addressed. Takeaway offers are a way for restaurateurs to reduce losses during the Covid-19 pandemic. To avoid unnecessary packaging waste, many customers want to take their food home in their own containers. In the press release about the information leaflet (we reported here), the Food Association assures that this is also possible for catering companies during the lockdown, provided that hygiene regulations are observed.
